MALA MALA is a non-fiction feature film about the power of transformation told through the lives of nine trans-identifying individuals in Puerto Rico. Premiering at the 2014 TriBeCa Film Festival, it is the debut feature film from Dan Sickles and Antonio Santini. In conjunction with their production company El Peligro, MALA MALA was produced with Killer Films (Christine Vachon) and Moxie Pictures (Danny Levinson). Acquired by Strand Releasing for North America, MALA MALA made its theatrical premiere July 2015 in New York City.
